Privacy Policy

Personal data provided by you on the OX1 application form (name, contact details, affiliation, degree, etc) will be shared with the OX1 committee and Oxford Edge. The OX1 committee and Oxford Edge may share your data with the University of Oxford. 

Your data will be held in perpetuity by OX1 and Oxford Edge if your application is successful, so that we can manage your association as a cohort participant and alumnus. If your application is unsuccessful, your data will be retained only for the duration of the application process or for no longer than one academic year. Those with whom your data is shared will take all appropriate and necessary steps to ensure the security of your personal data, and its safe disposal/destruction at the end of your association with OX1 and Oxford Edge.  The data will be processed using the lawful basis of contract (Article 6(1)(b) of the UK GDPR) while you have a direct association with OX1 after which the lawful basis will be legitimate interest.  You will retain rights over your data according to Articles 12 – 23 of the UK GDPR.
